The Student Scientific Research Club (SSRC) is deeply honored to present the 29th International Medical Sciences Student Congress (IMSSC). This edition marks a noteworthy moment, as it will be the final installment of our timehonored, biennially held IMSSCs.

 

We take immense pride in our history, having organized the world's first international student congress on Medical Sciences back in 1987. Since that foundational year, SSRC and our venerable institution, Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, have consistently provided a highly respected platform for students globally, fostering vigorous scientific discussion, vital cultural exchange, and invaluable networking opportunities.

Our host faculty, founded in 1827 as Mekteb-i Tıbbiye-i Şahane, holds the distinction of being the first modern medical institution in Turkey. The rich alumni history includes veteran physicians and pioneer researchers of the highest caliber, such as Aziz Sancar, MD, PhD, the 2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry Laureate.

Driven by a dynamic team and committed to well-organized, high-impact events, SSRC aims to widen the perspective of each volunteer and participant.

 

We cordially invite you to join us for the 29th IMSSC, which will be held in the captivating city of İstanbul on Apr 17th, 18th, and 19th, 2026. The congress will be conducted in English. Unfortunately, simultaneous translation is not going to be available for your convenience.
